change is possible

If you have been having problems with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress or compulsive behaviour, don't panic - this site will offer reassurance and some useful advice. Thanks to recent developments in counselling and psychotherapy it is now possible to have a huge impact on most psychological difficulties in a much shorter time than was previously thought possible. So don't suffer in silence, read on and make a start in changing your mental landscape...

so what has changed?

Over the last ten years a UK-based group of therapists and psychologists has brought a new light to bear on the reasons why human beings become unhappy and then ill. Starting with Joe Griffin's insight into the connections between worry, dreaming, exhaustion and depression, the project has led to a new approach to treating all the common psychological difficulties; an approach that offers a direct lever on the problem.

One layer of our approach is to use the right techniques to help people become un-stuck so that they can get on with their lives, and we draw from a wide range of brief therapy techniques as appropriate to the situation. The second layer of the approach is based on a holistic and humane understanding of the ancient needs of the human being, needs which are increasingly frustrated in the modern era, which boxes people into situations their genes do not equip them for. Once people are re-connected with their own real needs, rather than the things they think they want, life becomes much clearer.
